If tank/aircraft spawns aren't available, you can't change tanker/pilot loadout. Was thinking last night as I went to customize tank, and the spawn vanished, how it should let you hover over the tank and customize even if the availability is 0.

It seems like the loadouts aren't syncing between the game and the companion app and site. Most of the time when I log into the companion my loadouts have been reset to default, there's only be a few times where it's shown me what I have set up in game. I have a few presets on a few of the classes in game and those also don't show up on the companion. The other problem I've had is I can't equip items or modifications on the companion, I get a red bar saying 'Failed to Equip Item' and the page says 'Failed to load the necessary data to display this page. Try Again.'

This is a problem for me as well. If I try and adjust the optics on a weapon it will say 'failed to equip item' in a red bar, and then the try again message center page from above post.

Seriously. Yesterday, after I thought I was finally able to set my loadouts on the companion I logged into actually play and found that everything was messed up; only my primary weapon was changed and everything else was set to default. It took half the game just to redo every class. Didn't help that it kept glitching and resetting stuff while I was doing that too.
Awfully strange that the only way to customize your loadout is to be in game.. or use a companion that doesn't work.

Same deal for me on PC. The game doesn't give me the option to spend Warbonds, apply my skins, or change my weapon sights. The website via desktop browser lets me spend Warbonds, but upon trying to do the other two things I get the 'Failed to Equip Item' message in a red bar. I installed the app on my phone and it pretends to change things, but then in the game nothing has.

Everything I set in game stays, even if the companion doesn't reflect it. So set everything in game and ignore the companion until they fix i suppose.

*facepalm* obviously.. the point is you have to spend half a match customizing it.

agreed on that annoyance..they have this issue on starwars battlefront when a patch would drop, same problem..

I'm also experiencing the same issue with the load-outs not being synced up. The load-outs will be there in the game (Desktop app) but not in the mobile App or via the website.

    Don't use the Companion App!
(the App reset your loadout config)
Use your (Mobile/Internet) Browser to login @ https://www.battlefield.com/
I think it's better for sync, to log-in and -out @ your browser, everytime you use it.
/ i hope they add the loadout config at the inGame Home-Screen /

9 times out of 10 I use the browser and that's where I got the errors.

How embarrassing, more BF1 features that don't work. Dice and EA should be ashamed.

I started to use the companion app, and more recently www.battlefield.com/companion , however one day after I finished playing I tried to go in and customize my loadout and the message 'Failed to load the necessary data to display this page' appeared, so I tried the companion app on my phone and the exact same message appeared, no matter how many times I refreshed or hit the Try Again button. So now for me the app is basically useless as well as the web page, I only use it to see my K/D ratio and other stats, which should be on the game btw. I think they are working in this problem, but for a shooter this is such an elemental aspect of the game, it should have been working from the beginning.
Side Note: For the people complaining about AFKing to customize, just search for an empty server in the server browser, join it and take your time to customize. That way you don't take up a space in a match in which you are not playing. It should't have to be this way, but it's a good workaround for the moment.
